Stefano Canali is the President and CEO of the Canali Group, a fashion company founded in 1934 and specializing in the production of luxury men’s clothing Made in Italy.
After earning a degree in Economics and Commerce from Bocconi University in Milan, Stefano spent two years in New York, initially working for an independent currency risk management firm before joining the FX trading division of a major Italian commercial bank in the U.S.
Stefano joined Canali in January 1998, starting in the Finance and Treasury Department where he focused on managing and implementing treasury and finance modules within the company’s new enterprise resource planning system. Additionally, he developed the group’s first currency hedging policy, simplifying internal treasury procedures and strengthening the bond between the family business and the banking sector.
He was later appointed Chief Financial Officer, significantly contributing to redefining the company’s international structure and optimizing liquidity management. During the same period, he joined Canali’s Executive Board.In 2008, Stefano was named General Manager, a key role in which he revolutionized the family business model with a more distinctive managerial approach.
Since 2018, Stefano Canali has held his current position, aiming to foster the company’s growth and success while upholding the values that have distinguished the Canali family over the decades, continuing the tradition of Italian excellence and craftsmanship in men’s fashion.
