Jean-Marie Tritant is a global chief executive recognized for leading large-scale enterprise transformation, operational recovery, and long-term value creation in complex international environments. Over nearly three decades in the real estate and retail destinations industry, he has built a reputation for navigating disruption, strengthening operating and financial performance, and positioning organizations for sustained growth.
Most recently, Jean-Marie served as CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW). As CEO, he led the company through a period of historic global disruption, restoring performance and reshaping the portfolio to focus on dominant flagship assets in the best European and US markets. Throughout his tenure, he rebuilt strong credibility and confidence with the investor community through disciplined and transparent financial communication, clear commitments, and consistent delivery.
Jean-Marie executed a multi-year transformation program that strengthened the company’s financial position through €7.5 billion of strategic asset disposals, delivered a significant development pipeline, and established a clear long-term growth trajectory.
He also expanded the global reach of the Westfield brand, launching new revenue platforms including an in-house retail media business and a licensing model designed to extend the reach of the Westfield brand beyond owned assets. Under his leadership, URW earned global recognition for sustainability and corporate responsibility.
He holds a degree from Burgundy School of Business and a master’s degree from Paris-Sorbonne University in commercial real estate, a qualification recognized by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
