Charles has 30 years of experience across strategy, M&A and executive leadership, with a rare combination of transactional expertise and direct operational responsibility within premium and luxury consumer businesses.
Charles founded and led Louve, an advisory firm specialising in brand, product and distribution strategy, as well as fundraising and M&A for premium and luxury consumer companies such as Kering and innovative start-ups across apparel, accessories, jewellery, skincare, e-health and green mobility.
Prior to Louve, Charles spent nearly a decade at Kering, where he served as Head of M&A. Working closely with CEO François-Henri Pinault and the Group Executive Committee, he played a key role in reshaping Kering from a diversified group with retail and sports activities into a focused luxury pure-player.
In parallel, Charles combined advisory responsibilities with operational leadership. He was directly involved in the creation of Kering Eyewear and subsequently held executive roles as CEO of Kering Eyewear Japan and Global Managing Director of DoDo Jewels, giving him first-hand experience of brand development, merchandising, distribution, international expansion, day-to-day management.
Earlier in his career, Charles co-led the M&A team at Orange, managing complex technology, media and telecom transactions across Europe, Asia and Africa. He began his career as a corporate lawyer at Coudert Brothers, based in France, China, the US and the UK.
