Daria Ciriaci is an experienced economist with 25 years of experience across public service, academia, and the private financial sector, specializing in economic competitiveness, innovation and European affairs. She has been a professor of Economics of Innovation and Industrial Economics, publishing extensively in top-ranked journals. She has held senior positions at the European Commission, and she is currently managing the Business Development and Strategic Partnerships team at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. She previously led the European Affairs at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group, managing cross-border partnerships and supporting innovative financial solutions, and held a senior role at the Inter-American Development Bank’s Office for Outreach and Partnerships, focusing on building strategic alliances with European institutions, academia, and think tanks. Her expertise in designing impactful partnerships is underpinned by a Ph.D. in Economics.
