Dr Martyn Davies is Retail Sector Lead and Head of the City Excellence Division at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City.
He was formerly a Senior Partner at Deloitte (Managing Drirector of Emerging Markets & Africa) – the world’s largest professional services company. Prior to joining Deloitte, Martyn was a successful entrepreneur having founded Frontier Advisory, a strategy and corporate finance advisory firm that was subsequently acquired by Deloitte. He has worked and lived across almost all continents and has worked with a large number of Fortune 500 companies, leading multinational organizations, and Governments.
Martyn is a Global Fellow at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth–a highly eminent group of leading economists working on strategies toward inclusive growth and sustainability.
As an alumnus of the Young Global Leaders Community of the World Economic Forum and has served on numerous advisory groups at the WEF.
Martyn is passionate about supporting the careers of young people and toward this end he is a Non-Executive Director of FutureElect, an NGO that was launched through the WEF that trains young people for public service in Africa.
He is a Visiting Professor at IE Business School, Spain, recognized as one of the world’s leading business schools. Martyn was educated at Witwatersrand (Johannesburg), Yonsei (Seoul), Harvard, Yale, Oxford and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
