Walter is head of Visa Consulting & Analytics for Central and Eastern Europe, MENA and Sub Saharan Africa (CEMEA) based in Dubai, UAE. Visa Consulting & Analytics is the largest specialist payments consultancy in CEMEA with more than 90 consultants and data scientists providing expertise, insights, and solutions to our clients across the region. Walter joined Visa in November 2017 as Head of Strategy for CEMEA and brings over 20 years of experience in advising Financial Institutions on their most important Strategic priorities His area of expertise includes Retail Banking, Digital Transformation and Payments. Prior to joining Visa, Walter was a General Manager in Commercial Bank of Dubai, direct report to the CEO and to the Chairman of the Board, responsible for the overall Bank Strategy and Transformation Program Among different achievements, Walter in 2015 launched CBD Now, the first Digital only Bank in the UAE.
Prior to CBD, Walter was Partner at McKinsey&Co Co leader of the Financial Institution Practice in the Mediterranean Complex and Co leader of the Transformational Change Service Line in EMEA He served clients in several of the CEMEA geography, such as North Africa, East Africa, UAE and Saudi Arabia Prior to McKinsey, Walter worked also for Goldman Sachs as Investment Banker and for General Electric as a member of the Technical Leadership Program (TLP)..
